This is a common occurrence during the warmer months in South Africa.
The water over-heating can easily be rectified by doing the following:
- Reduce the solar controller set-point to 45Ç [see user manuals attached]
- Open the hot water tap to allow cold water to enter the geyser
Note: Did you know that the TP [temperature / pressure valve ] is a safety valve the allows the hot water to leave the geyser when 85Ç is reached. Whenever this happens it means that the water in the geyser is too hot.
