Terms and Conditions

In order to commence work a signature of acceptance by the Buyer is required, which will constitute a firm order between Hi Temp Installation  and the Buyer.
It is understood that this acceptance of the quotation, via e-mail or telephonically,  is binding and cannot be cancelled unless agreed to by Hi Temp Installation in writing.
Hi Temp Installation reserves the right to cancel any order if:

• Payments by the Buyer to Hi Temp Installation are in default
• Should substantial changes in material and systems and/or prices occur
• Prevailing conditions beyond the control of Hi Temp Installation make impossible to assure delivery. Should the above occur Hi Temp Installation will not be liable for any claims for damages by the Buyer whether direct, indirect on consequential.

Any agreed alterations requested in design, quantity or specification and any suspension of work will thereby involve adjustments to the price quoted.

All payments are strictly COD unless otherwise stated on the quotation. Any outstanding amounts in terms of this agreement shall bear interest at the prevailing prime commercial overdraft rate- All goods remain the property of Hi Temp Installation until the full payment has been made. Should the Buyer default in making payment, Hi Temp Installation reserves the right to remove the goods and the Buyer agrees to allow Hi Temp Installation or its assignees access to the property for this purpose. Should any products have to be removed the customer will be liable for a labour fee & de-installation costs.

Prices are firm for a period of 7 days from the date of the written quotation, thereafter are subject to without confirmation.

The buyer shall make available to Hi Temp Installation on site 220 volt electric current

Product Warranties

Hi Temp Solar Pool Panels (single density)

Header and Footer pipe: 5 year warranty against water leaks
The header or footer pipe may fade over time. Only black water based roofing paint can be used to restore the black appearance. This is not covered under warranty.
Note that should the header or footer pipe crack this will not be covered under this warranty. Labour and/ or replacement costs are for the clients account.

Grommets: 5 year warranty against water leaks. Thereafter applicable charges apply.

Riser pipes (spaghetti like tubes): 5 year warranty against water leaks. Thereafter applicable charges apply.

Please Note the warranty is [Pro Rata]

For service calls on installations older than 12 months a fee of R2000.00 excl. VAT (subject to change) will apply for travel and labour. Riser pipes will be supplied free of charge.

Installation pipe (50mm PVC), fittings (end caps, holderbatts, 90o elbows, 45o elbows, straight couplers, t-pieces) and valves (bypass, vacuum breakers, non-return or flapper valves) carry a 12 month warranty from date of installation.

The 5 year warranty on the solar pool panels is only applicable if Hi Temp or an accredited installer fits them. Please note: The warranty is applicable within an 40km distance to nearest branch. If your installation fall out of this distance spare parts can be collected from our factory or nearest warehousing facility. The labour to repair the product will be for your account. Spare parts will be no charge.

All Solar Pool Heating Panels DIY purchases carry a 12 month warranty with conditions set out above.

Hi Temp ECO Titanium Pool Heatpumps and Geyser Heatpumps

Carry a 5 year warranty on the Titanium heat exchanger coil and 12 months on the electronics and compressor. (Ensure that you have a stable voltage supply and must not exceed+-5% of recommended input voltage supply).

Note: General temperature calculations are based on a 10°C temperature within 84 hours based on a wet bulb temperature of 19°C. Should the wet bulb temperature fall lower that this running times will change. Heatpump efficiency is affected by ambient temperature. The lower the ambient temperature the lower the kw rating. Actual heatpump running times vary depending on above variables.

Evacuated Solar collector panels and Flat Plate collectors have a [12 month warranty by the manufacturer] Solar Geysers carry a 5-10 year warranty depending on the model by the manufacturer. [not covered I.e. Freezing/frost or hail damage]

Heat Tech geyser warranty terms are as follows:
Cylinder: 5 years
Element: 1 year
Thermostat: 1 year
TP Valve: 2 year

Solar Controllers, circulation pumps, photovoltaic panels all carry a 12 month warranty by manufacturer.

Salt Chlorinators and pool pumps/sand filters carry a 2 year warranty serviced by the manufacturer. The warranty only applies to the original purchaser. The warranty only applies to installations done Hi Temp or an accredited installer and does not apply to DIY purchases where installed by a third party.

All warranties and conditions apply to the original purchaser only. The warranty is not transferable.

Hi Temp reserves the right to repair or replace product or part thereof.

Inclusions / Exclusions

Pool Heating- additional uPVC piping used, other than on the quote, for pool heating installation will be charged at R50 per meter.

Trench digging [to a depth of 20cm] will be charged as extra labour per hour

Solar Geyser and/or Solar Collectors- Additional copper tubing used over and above the estimate quote will be charged out at R107.73 per meter for 15mm and R150 per meter for 22mm. This includes copper solder and copper fittings as well as labour

In the unlikely event of a water leak occurring, and / or panels falling off the roof Hi Temp Pool Heating will not be held liable for damage caused. Home-owners household insurance will have to be completed and claimed by the client.

If removal of paving is needed, which is very seldom, there will be extra cost, at R450 per hour. We do not replace paving as this is a specialised industry, which we are not specialist in. We cannot be held liable for broken brickwork during the removal process.

Quotations are based upon an standard installation. Sandy soil, no foreign objects I.e. Concrete or metal (only applicable for pool heating) Accordingly the quotation does not provide for additional labour or costs in the event that underground rock formations are encountered which will necessitate additional labour and machinery or materials when laying underground piping.

This quotation does not provide for removal of large shrubs, trees to be felled or relocated.

This quotation is based on a “standard installation” with the information given by the purchaser. Should the information given by the client differs, some costs may be incurred. I.E. additional piping, double storey etc.

We cannot be held responsible for damage done to hidden electrical cable/water pipes while drilling

Please note that any damage claims will NOT be considered 7 (seven) days after the completion of the installation.

All products supplied are manufactured in accordance to ISO 9001:2000 quality / CE and/or SABS compliant.

COC (certificate of compliance) for installation of swimming pool heatpumps, geyser heatpumps, geysers or any other work will not be issued. Should a COC be required, the client is to arrange this directly with a person or body that can issue such certification.

Once the product has been ordered and has been dispatched from our warehouse the risk/responsibility and insurance falls onto the client and freight company. Should the product be damaged in transit we will not be held responsible. The client should address any problems or damages caused directly with the freight company, which he has contracted to do the delivery. This does not apply should the client contract us to deliver, install or setup, where we use our own staff.

Travel fees will be charged as per original travel fee invoiced on installation date. For warranty claims a travel fee will be charged for clients out of 40km from nearest branch

Policies

Warranty is valid for original purchaser only. Original invoice must be kept in order to validate warranty.

The warranty period for the Installation Services shall be 1 year from completion 

This workmanship warranty covers installation services only. Products and parts are covered by their individual manufacturer’s warranty as applicable.

Cancellations, for booked installations, may only be accepted in writing and an administration levy 25 % of the contract sum shall become due for administration costs.

We do not accept returns for products sold as DIY.  Hence, we strongly encourage you to consider carefully before placing your order with us.
